Your holiday hound news for Tuesday, 11-12-19

Yes, it's Tilly Tuesday, 11-12-19, but I see a lot of people on social media who want to jump right to 12-25-19, so in an attempt to attract pet owners already spreading the Christmas cheer with more than two weeks to go before Thanksgiving, I'm presenting a special edition of preseason holiday hound news.

Go to Rover.com to read about the "11 Best Christmas Dog Outfits to Get Your Dog in the Holiday Spirit."

The Christmas Light Dog Pajamas would look cute on Tilly, our 6-year-old basset hound. We just need to take Tilly's measurements before we go shopping. I suppose she would need an XL or an XXL, even though she stays on a strict diet to help her fight allergies.

Tilly told me she's sleeping on the Christmas gift idea for her, and this leads to the latest Tilly Tuesday photo, taken at 2 p.m. on 11-12-19. The picture, which features holiday stickers I received for free at http://editor.pho.to, is at the top of this post and I doubt she was dreaming about Christmas Light Dog Pajamas.

Hallmark Movies and Mysteries plays 24-7-365 on Tilly's TV.
Her TV was tuned to Hallmark Movies and Mysteries, her favorite channel, not because of its 10th Anniversary Countdown to Christmas, but mainly because the sounds of shows soothe and sedate Tilly. She's a listener, not a watcher.

Instead of Christmas Light Dog Pajamas, Tilly would probably prefer something that wraps around her ears for when she's outside, and the Basset Hound Snood at Etsy might be perfect for her.

"This warm doggie snood can double as a scarf and a hat on cold, windy walks," the seller says. "The chunky yarn keeps your hound's long ears protected on frigid days."

I think Tilly would enjoy wearing the Basset Hound Snood when she's outside in her dog run in our backyard, though down here on the Mississippi Coast, we seem to have just two or three cold, windy days and the snood would be no good in early January, when the temps could heat back up to the 80s. You never know.

A site called dhgate.com used to have a costume for the truly devoted basset hound owner who wants to look like their pup. The piece, an ideal Christmas gift for your favorite hound lover, must be really popular because dhgate says, "Sorry, this item is currently not in stock!"

The price was $248.92 to $304.58, but for free, I'll share a photo of the costume and hope I don't get sued for copyright infringement.

OK. Enough of the nonsense.

Now I'm going to be genuine.

Do you get Christmas outfits for your pets? How much do you pay? Do you have a favorite holiday dog costume? I really want to know.

Please come back next week for Tilly Tuesday.

Just remember it’s not Taco Tilly and it’s not Taco Tuesday at Pictures of Tilly.

It’s Tilly Tuesday.
